Think You Can’t Do a Push-Up?

Wanna bet? You might surprise yourself!

Strong legs are one of the greatest gifts you can give your future self. 🎁

Take a moment and think about how often you push during the day.

✔️ You push yourself up from the floor.

✔️ You push open heavy doors.

✔️ You push a lawn mower, shopping cart, or stroller.

✔️ You push luggage up into an overhead bin or push a heavy box up onto a shelf.

✔️ Even getting out of bed or standing up from a chair often requires a strong pushing motion.

These everyday tasks may seem small—until they become difficult.

Because your arms feel weak. 😢

But there’s one simple exercise that can start making those everyday movements feel way easier,

Giving you back your CONFIDENCE!

JUST ONE THING

There’s one movement that can build the arm strength you need for countless everyday tasks.

Your JUST ONE THING to Build Upper Body Strength

Master the Push-Up

Don’t roll your eyes just yet…stick with me on this one 😊

The push-up is actually one of the most functional exercises you can learn.

It strengthens the primary muscles you use every time you push—which is dozens of times a day!

But if you’ve NEVER been able to do a full push-up, don’t assume you never will.

I’ve coached many women in their 50s, 60s, and even 70s, helping them finally achieve their very first push-up. 🏆

The key is to start where you are—with wall push-ups or countertop push-ups—and gradually build your strength from there.

Then include other exercises that strengthen all of the auxiliary muscles needed for a push-up (like your core).

Soon you’ll discover that this one exercise that used to be your “nemesis”,

Is now the one move that makes you feel TRULY STRONG 💪

Watch the video below 👇 for the exact progression I teach for achieving your first push-up.

Push-Up Progression

  1. Inchworms - to teach your wrists & shoulders to handle load & pressure
  2. Tall Planks - to keep strengthening wrists & shoulder while building core strength
  3. Regular planks - gotta keep building that core strength!
  4. Elevated Push-Ups - to master the lowering/pushing motions with your weight offloaded
  5. Gradually work your way lower to the floor

Extra Tip: Remember that push-ups are a “moving plank”. You need to focus on holding your body in a very firm plank position from head to heels.

Did You Know...

  • The fastest way to a full push-up isn’t by doing endless kneeling push-ups. You will never train the core strength needed for real, full push-ups. It’s better to practice them elevated.
  • One of the biggest push-up mistakes is flaring out your elbows. For healthier shoulders, keep your elbows at about a 45-degree angle and lower your chest between your hands—not your chin or forehead.
  • Even if you can’t lower all the way to the floor yet, every repetition builds the strength you’ll need to get there. This video explains how you can start training for full depth.  The BEST Way to Improve Your Push-Ups
